SIDE PROJECTS Artist Statement My mixed media pieces (collage & assemblage) have been an attempt to transform an eclectic collection of found objects and ephemera into either thought-provoking or humorous statements. Because collecting vintage California pottery has been an important part of my life, I've incorporated ceramic elements including shards in some of the work. A 20 year survey of these side projects was recently presented at the MorYork Gallery in Highland Park. The show was thoroughly documented by photographer Sorin Constantin. A selection of individual pieces is shown here along with a few shots of the opening reception.
